Ear

1 - 2. Lobe and Upper Lobe

Lobe and upper lobe: the soft lower part of the ear. A piercing can be located at several heights across this part.

Bead rings, Labret studs, hoops, and labret, mini barbell.

Gauge: 20g (0.8mm) if used to regular earrings to 16g (1.2mm)

Length for Initial Piercing: 5/16”(8mm) to 5/8”(16mm)

After Healed: 3/16”(5mm) to 1/4”(6mm)

3. Anti Tragus

Antitragus: Flap of skin that sits opposite to the tragus, above the lobe.

Straight barbell, Clickers and CBR

Gauge: 18g (1,0mm) to 14g (1,6mm)

Length for Initial Piercing: 5/16" (8mm) to 7/16” (11mm)

After Healed:1/4” (6mm) to 9/6" (10mm)

4. Tragus

Tragus: Located in the portion of skin that covers the ear canal.

Hoops, CBRs, labrets, and circular barbells

Gauge: 18g(1.0mm) to 16g(1.2mm)

Length for Initial Piercing: 5/16” (8mm)

After Healed: 3/16” (5mm) or 1/4" (6mm)

5. Daith

Daith: placed in the inner cartilage of the ear, between the tragus and rook piercings.

Hinged hoop, shaped seamless and circular barbells

Gauge: 18g (1,0mm) to 14g (1,6mm)

Length: 5/16” (8mm) to 7/16" (11mm)

After Healed: 5/16” (8mm)

6. Forward helix

Forward helix: The front-end of the helix, where the skin that connects the ear to the head is located.

Labret and hoops

Gauge: 18g (1,0mm) to 16g (1,2mm)

Length: 1/4" (6mm) to 5/16” (8mm)

After Healed: 3/16" (5mm) to 1/4” (6mm)

7. Rook

Rook: vertical piercing that goes through the ridge in the inner ear.

Curved barbells, hoops, ring, clickers

Gauge: 18g (1.0mm) to 16g (1,2mm)

Length: 5/16" (8mm) to 3/8" (10mm)

After Healed: 1/4" (6mm) to 5/16” (8mm)

8 Helix

Helix: This piercing is located along the inside ridge of the upper ear.

Labret, straight labret and hoop

Gauge: 18g (1,0mm) to 14g (1.6mm)

Diameter/Length for Initial Piercing: 5/16" (8mm) to ½” (12mm) for ring-style jewelry; 5/16” (8mm) to 3/8” (10mm)

After Healed: 3/16" (5mm) to 1/4” (6mm)

9. Contra Conch

Contraconch: Located on the convex part of the ear, just above the conch.

Curved Barbell and ring for person with a very defined cartilage

Gauge: 18g (1,0mm) to 14g (1.8mm)

Length for Initial Piercing: 5/16” (8mm) to 3/8" (10mm)

After Healed: 3/16" (5mm) to 1/4” (6mm)

10. Conch

Conch/orbital: The concave area that sits in the middle of the ear’s inside portion.

Hoop, labret, straight barbell and clicker

Gauge: 14g (1.6mm) to 12g (2mm)

Length for Initial Piercing: 5/16” (8mm) to 1/2" (12mm)

After Healed: 3/16” (5mm) to 5/16” (8mm)

11. Industrial

Industrial: Two holes along the helix connected by a bar.

Straight barbell

Gauge: 16g (1,2mm) to 14g (1,6mm)

Length: From 1” to 1-¾”

After Healed: Varies depending on ear

1. High Nostril

High nostril: A variation of the nostril piercing, placed further up along the nose.

Ring-style, nostrils screw, mini barbell

Gauge: 18g (1,0mm) to 16g (1,2mm)

Length: 3/8” (10mm)to 1/2" (12mm)

After Healed: 5/16” (8mm) to 3/8" (10mm)

2. Nostril

Nostril: Consists of a single hole just above the nostril’s curve, on either side of the nose.

Ring-style, nostril screw, mini barbell

Gauge: 20g (0,8mm) to 16g (1,2mm)

Length: 5/16” (8mm) to 7/16" (11mm)

After Healed: 1/4" (6mm) to 5/16” (8mm)

3. Septum

Septum: A piercing along the septal cartilage, where a hoop or ring is inserted between the hard cartilage and the tip of your septum, area often called the “sweet spot”.

Circular barbell, CBR and Hinged Hoop

Gauge: 16g (1,2mm) to 12g (2mm)

Length: 3/8” (10mm) to 1/2" (12mm)

After Healed: 5/16” (8mm) or 3/8" (10mm)

1. Vertical Nipple

Vertical nipple: pierced horizontally through the nipple.

Straight Barbell, CBR

Gauge: 16g (1,2mm) 14g (1,6mm)

Length for initial piercing: 3/8" (10mm) to 1/2" (12mm)

After Healed: 5/16” (8mm) to 3/8” (10mm)

2. Horizontal Nipple

Horizontal Nipple: pierced vertically through the nipple.

Straight Barbell

Gauge: 16g (1,2mm) 14g (1,6mm)

Length for initial piercing: 3/8" (10mm) to 1/2" (12mm)

After Healed: 5/16” (8mm) to 3/8” (10mm)

3. Dermal Chest

Dermal chest: there is a single anchor point embedded below the skin and the accessory is placed on top of it.

Dermal Anchors

Gauge: 14g (1,6mm)

Rise: 1/16” (2mm) to 1/8” (3mm)

After Healed: 1/16” (2mm)

Mouth

Monroe: single puncture on the left side of the mouth above the upper lip.

Labret

Gauge: 18g (1,0mm) and 14g (1,6mm)

2. Madonna

Madonna: single puncture on the right side of the mouth above the upper lip.

3. Medusa

Medusa: located in the groove below the septum, just above the upper lip.

4. Ashley

Ashley: placed in the middle of the lower lip, showing the ball outside.

Labret

Gauge: 16g (1,2mm) to 14g (1,6mm)

Length: 3/8" (10mm) to 1/2” (12mm)

After Healed: 5/16" (8mm) to 3/8” (10mm)

5. Side Labret

Side labret: is located just below the lip, the piercing is in the right or left of the center.

Length: 11/32” (9mm) to 1/2" (12mm)

After Healed: 9/32” (7mm) to 11/32” (9mm)

6. Labret

Labret: piercing located just below the middle of the bottom lip.

7. Vertical Labret

Vertical Labret: It’s a variation of the labret that crosses the lower lip vertically, there are two holes, one below the lip and one directly above it.

2. Bridge

Bridge: as the name implies, these types of piercings go through the upper most part of the nose, between the eyes.
